Halton Police "Project Skyway" ends with 10 arrests

Police have seized $1,465,000 dollars worth of drugs as part of a six month long investigation.

11 search warrants were executed by Halton Police in co-operation with Hamilton Police and 10 people have been arrested.

Nearly $1.5 million worth of marijuana, cocaine, mushrooms and other drugs were found during the raids, as well as over $100,000 worth of cash.

They also found a loaded handgun and several bullet proof vests.

At least 80 officers were involved in the searches, which included officers from Waterloo and Niagara.

This investigation began six months ago after an initial search warrant was executed in Burlington, but information about the drug network was given to police about a year ago.
