Niagara Public Health issuing an "Excessive Heat Alert"

Niagara Region Public Health are issuing an 'Excessive Heat Alert' throughout the region.

Temperatures are expected to be in the mid 30's, but with the humidex it will feel more like 40°.

Residents are advised to take caution when outside today.

Be sure to stay hydrated and avoid direct contact with the sun for too long.

The Region also reminding everyone not to leave infants or animals in parked cars, and ensure children are well protected when playing outside.
