Drivers in Thorold should take note that a portion of Merrittville Highway will be closed at as crews work on replacing the Power Canal Bridge.
The Niagara Region has announced that work will start Monday, September 14th.
The replacement of the Merrittville Hwy. Bridge is the second phase of the bridge replacement project and during the work, Regional Road 50 (Merrittville Hwy.) will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic at the bridge.
The schedule for this work is from September 14, 2015 to August 2016.
For the duration of this closure, vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be detoured using Regional Road 67 (Beaverdams Road), Regional Road 71 (St. David's Road) and Regional Road 56 (Collier Road).
