The Niagara Region's public health committee wants to make sure the federal government gets it right when it moves forward with a plan to legalize pot.
Members of the committee passing a motion to send the Prime Minister a letter outlining some recommendations on the issue.
The recommendations include limiting where marijuana can be purchased, controlled pricing, a minimum age for purchase, a plan to address marijuana impaired driving, and a ban on advertising.
The letter needs the approval of regional council before it is sent to Ottawa.
