The president of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union is calling the government's plan to let grocery stores sell wine ``a sellout to corporate interests and a direct attack on the L-C-B-O.''

Smokey Thomas says the liquor control system in the province works, and the Liberals are tearing it apart.

And Thomas says government will still have to pay for the social harm caused by alcohol, but the profits from selling it are moving steadily to the private sector.

OPSEU represents seven thousand workers in L-C-B-O stores, warehouses, and offices.
