Man arrested after violent New Years Day assault in Niagara Falls

Police say a man has been arrested after a New Years day assault in Niagara Falls.
 
On January 1, 2016 at 1:20 A.M. a man was leaving Boston Pizza on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, after enjoying a New Year's Eve outing with his friends. 

Police say shortly after leaving he became involved in an altercation.

Police say the man was punched unconscious and then rushed to Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie for treatment.
 
He suffered a fracture in his jaw and four of his teeth were damaged.
 
On January 7th, 26 year old Daniel Willick from St. Catharines was arrested and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.

Willick will be held pending a bail hearing which is scheduled at the Robert S.K. Welch Court house in St. Catharines tomorrow morning.
