Woman arrested for robbery at Niagara Falls pharmacy

Niagara police have arrested a  woman in connection with a robbery at pharmacy on Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls.

It happened Sunday morning around 6:30 a.m.

Police say the woman passed a note to the pharmacist demanding Fentanyl and cash and indicated she had a weapon in her purse.

There was a struggle. The woman fled to the front of the store where another employee tried to stop her.

The suspect wielded a hatchet and escaped to a nearby taxi.

About 50 minutes later, police located the taxi in the area of St. George St. and Elizabeth St.

Natalie Doyle was arrested and charged with robbery.

Doyle is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
