The family of three Alberta sisters who died after being buried in a pile of canola seed are thanking the community for an outpouring of support.
In a statement read by the R-C-M-P, the parents say their daughters grew up on a farm and they don't regret introducing their girls to a farm lifestyle.
Thirteen-year-old Catie Bott and her 11-year-old twin sisters, Jana and Dara, died after they were trapped while playing on the truck last evening.
Two of the girls were pronounced dead at the scene, while the third was airlifted to hospital where she died.
The accident happened around dinner time on a farm near Withrow, about 200 kilometres north of Calgary.
