UBER ison the agenda today when the Niagara Police Services Board meets this morning at 8:30.
Uber Canada Public Policy Manager, Chris Schafer will provide a presentation on the services offered by the ride sharing service currently operating in 60 countries.
The presentation will address safety issues and regulations, as well as the benefits of Uber.
The owner of Central Taxi, Hanif Patni tells CKTB he will be sitting in on the meeting.
Patni says he has no problem with Uber operating in Niagara, as long as it is subjected to the same licensing and rate requirements as other taxi cab companies.
