A 36 year old Hamilton man has been arrested following two violent, unprovoked assaults in Grimsby.
The NRP say that last Friday night police were called to the Rikochez Bar at 11pm on Ontario Street after a man punched another man in the face and pulled out a knife and injured the victim's hand.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
On Tuesday of this week police were called to the back of a Main Street business at 1pm after the same suspect allegedly attacked an elderly man.
Police say the suspect punched and kicked the victim in the head and body after he had fallen to the ground while trying to flee.
The suspect stole the senior's cell phone.
The male victim was transported to the West Lincoln General Hospital by Ambulance where he received treatment for his injuries.
It was another random, unprovoked attack.
Today, officers arrested 36 year old Corry Beresford for Robbery and Assault with a Weapon.
He is being held for a bail hearing which will take place at 59 Church Street, St. Catharines on September 17, 2015.
