Following a robbery in St. Catharines, Niagara Police are currently looking for a male suspect.
The incident happened at 11:15 p.m. on Saturday in the city's south.
The homeowner says they were present at the time when the suspect gained entry to the house.
The suspect threatened them with a weapon and demanded valuable from the residence.
The homeowner screamed which caused the suspect to flee the area empty-handed.
Police conducted a K-9 search but it came up empty handed.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid 20's, standing approximately 5'4" tall and slightly over-weight with blue eyes and a red beard.
He was wearing a white baseball cap, a blue t-shirt with a Nike symbol on the front of it, khaki coloured cargo shorts, Nike shoes with white sweat socks and white gloves with a green tension cuff.
Investigators are examining the possibility that the residence was specifically targeted by the suspect.
