A 12-year-old boy has died in hospital following a dirt bike crash south of Hamilton on Monday.
Police say the boy was riding on a rural property on Binbrook Rd. with another family member at about 6 p.m. when they became separated.
The family member later found the boy, who had fallen off his bike and was unresponsive.
When emergency crews arrived on scene, the child did not have any vital signs.
He died in hospital a short time later.
An accident reconstruction team was on the scene trying to determine what caused the crash.
