Another reminder from Niagara Parks Police after yet another rescue in the Niagara Gorge.

On Monday, a hiker with a pre-existing medical condition was unable to exit the gorge on her own and managed to call for help.

Parks Police, along with the Niagara Falls Fire Dept and EMS were able to rescue the woman.

During the rescue another female hiker, that had been injured, was able to make contact with firefighters and she was also successfully rescued.

Both females were taken to hospital for treatment on non-life threatening injuries.

Police are reminding hikers in the gorge to stay on the marked trails, wear proper footwear and clothing, take a cell phone, carry water and energy bars, to know their physical
limitations and to never hike alone.
