Niagara EMS is hoping the pubic can help them find a missing medication pouch.
Niagara Emergency Medical Services says the black medication pouch was discovered missing after treating a patient with a life threatening medical condition in Fort Erie.
The missing black medication pouch contains two vials of morphine and one vial of midazolam.
The incident was reported to the Niagara Regional Police and they are investigating the incident.
Morphine is an opioid pain medication.
An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic.
Morphine is used to treat moderate to severe pain.
Overdose symptoms may include slow breathing and heart rate, severe drowsiness, muscle weakness, cold and clammy skin, pinpoint pupils, and fainting.
Midazolam belongs to a group of drugs known as benzodiazepines, or central nervous system depressants.
Overdose symptoms may include slow breathing and heart rate, low blood pressure, fainting, confusion or unusual thoughts or behaviors, vision changes, unconsciousness
