The man arrested after an attempted abduction in Niagara Falls Sunday is facing more charges.
Police responded to a hotel parking lot yesterday morning after a woman said an SUV pulled up beside her and the male driver tried getting her inside the vehicle.
She claims he grabbed her and told her to get in the car, but she stomped on his foot making him let go.
She ran to a nearby building and called for help.
She was able to identify the car as an older grey Infinity, Sport Utility vehicle.
28 year old Jason Belanger was arrested and charged yesterday with attempted kidnapping.
The NRP say after a more detailed investigation into the incident Belanger is now charged with forcible confinement and two counts of assault.
Police say there were other similar reports in the Victoria Avenue and Ellen area and if anyone has been approached by Belanger in similar circumstances, you are asked to call police.
