Job cuts are coming to the Bank of Montreal as it moves to digitize more of its operations.
Hours after the bank released second-quarter earnings that showed a small drop in profits to nearly one-billion dollars, B-MO announced it will trim four per cent of its workforce -- or 1,850
positions.
The bank cited the increased use of online banking in its decision.
C-I-B-C, Royal Bank and T-D will report their earnings today.
