Allegations of sexual harassment surrounding former Niagara Falls Liberal MPP Kim Craitor continue to dog members of Niagara falls City Council.
Last night Kim Craitor skipped the council meeting due to health reasons, but Mayor Jim Diodati says that didn't stop media from showing up and photographing Craitor's empty seat.
Mayor Diodati says he has been called by a number of media outlets regarding the matter.
While it's not hindering city business, Diodati admits it is a distraction that he wishes would just go away.
But he says the matter seems to be "festering" and "smouldering" and doesn't seem to be moving out of the public eye.
Last week the Premier revealed she asked Craitor to resign in 2013 after an independent third party investigation into the allegations was deemed significant enough to warrant action.
Craitor has maintained he did nothing wrong and was forced out to protect the Premier.
