Residents living in Dain City will be happy to hear the bridge connecting them to Welland should be repaired by May 19th.
Welland officials had to abruptly close the bridge to all traffic last week, for emergency repairs after excessive rust was found on the span during an inspection.
The city's engineer telling council yesterday the repairs by Rankin Construction are expected to cost around $90,000, and fortunately are not quite as expensive as they feared.
He says Rankin crews will work double shifts to fix the bridge as quickly as they can.
