Energy crews are still working to restore electricity to thousands of customers who lost power as southern Ontario was coated in freezing rain this week.
Most of the ice has since melted, however, Hydro One's outage map indicates that over 40 thousand people are still waiting for the power to be switched back on.
Hydro One says it expects most of those affected homes and businesses will be re-connected sometime today, although it cautions some rural customers may not get their power back until next Friday.
At the height of the ice storm more than 100-thousand customers were left in the dark during freezing cold tempuratures.
