A special weather statement has been issued for Niagara.

Environment Canada saying that winter weather is not over even though it's officially spring.

Forecasters saying a weak disturbance is moving towards the region tomorrow that will bring cold rain and/or a rain-wet snow mix.

A stronger low pressure system is expected to emerge from Colorado on Tuesday and then track towards southern Ontario.

The late season winter storm is threatening to bring significant amounts of precipitation.

Latest indications suggest significant snow is possible over areas extending from Lake Huron and Georgian Bay across northern parts of the GTA and into eastern Ontario.

Freezing rain and heavy rain could be an issue in Niagara.

Forecasters saying even a slight northward or southward shift in the track of this storm will affect how much snow, freezing precipitation or rain falls at any particular location.

Drivers should be prepared for a return to hazardous winter driving conditions this week, especially in areas that receive freezing precipitation or snow.

Rain is expected to start in Niagara late Tuesday, continue Wednesday, and then possible rain/freezing rain on Tuesday.
