Brock University says it moved quickly after it was told of an alleged sexual assault by a student.
A woman says she was given alcohol by a history professor, and he tried to force himself on her in his office.
The incident happened in Fall of 2014, Brock says the student came forward 11 months later and they immediately launched an investigation.
The three month investigation accepted the student's claims that there was inappropriate and unwelcome sexual advances and touching.
Brock says the professor in question is not assigned to a class and is not on campus.
According to a CBC report, the student was repeatedly warned in emails that results of the investigation were confidential.
The University says it cannot identify either party involved, or disclose the terms of the actions taken, due to legally binding privacy and confidentiality obligations.
