Niagara Police say they have completed their ground searches for a missing Fort Erie woman.
66 year old Barbara Cowsill has been missing for over a week.
She was last seen leaving her Crystal Beach area home on Monday February 29th around 11am wearing a red coat.
Police have been searching the Thunderbay Road and Young Avenue area with increasing concerns about her welfare due to the ongoing cold weather and her pre-existing medical conditions.
Officers have been combing the area, doing ground searches by foot and on ATVs.
Shoreline searches by police have also not been able to locate Cowsill.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office has assisted the NRPS by conducting aerial searches of the area using infrared technology.
The physical search has not been able to locate Cowsill.
The NRPS are still trying to locate Cowsill, however police say they will not be conducting any further ground searches for her.
They say that decision is based on current investigative information available to them.
