A joint drug investigation by cops in Fort Erie and Welland, called Project Closing Time, has ended with the arrest of five people.
Police say the investigation centred around the sale of cocaine out of bars in Fort Erie.
Using undercover officers, police were able to purchase cocaine from a variety of people located in or near the licenced establishments.
Yesterday police moved in and arrested, 33 year old Richard Bartscher and 20 year old Jessica Dixon from Fort Erie.
Three Welland residents are also facing trafficking charges including, 26 year old Johnathon Joyce, 22 year old Candace North and 27 year old Brianna Williams.
Police say they expect to make more arrests.
