The American South has been good for both Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton.
Both dominated the region in Super Tuesday presidential primaries.
They both won Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, as well as Massachusetts.
Trump took Vermont, while rival Ted Cruz scored a must-win victory in his home state of Texas along with Alaska and Oklahoma.
Marco Rubio won the Minnesota caucuses for his first victory.
On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton took seven states and American Samoa, while rival Bernie Sanders scored four wins, including his home state of Vermont, along with Oklahoma, Colorado and Minnesota.
