Police say a female high school student is in custody after six people were injured this morning at a high school in Pickering
Durham Regional Police Sgt. Bill Calder says officers were called to Dunbarton High School at 8:32 a.m. on reports of a stabbing.
He later tweeted that one person suffered serious injuries while five others sustained minor injuries, none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.
Calder says a female student, whose name and age have not been released, has been taken into custody and charges are pending.
He says the school remains in lockdown as police continue to investigate.
