Environment Canada has issued a snow squall watch for Niagara Falls, Welland and south Niagara.
Forecasters saying that on Friday flurries will be heavy at times with the risk of snow squalls.
5 to 10 centimetres expected to fall with winds gusting around 60 kilometres an hour.
Flurries will end late in the evening.
For St.Catharines and the rest of the region, there is a chance of flurries tomorrow.
Meantime, the Niagara Region has issued an Extreme Cold Weather Alert with temperatures expected to drop below -15 C over the weekend.
Temperatures are expected to rise above -15 by Monday.
