Niagara Police are urging swimmers to use caution when swimming at beaches after sharp metal plates were found in the Wainfleet area.
They're described as Truss Connector Plates and appeared to be placed in the shallow waters of Reebs Bay with the prongs facing up.
A burned out pile of debris on the beach had remnants of the same metal which the Town will be removing with heavy equipment.
Reebs Bay beach area is Municipal property and fires are prohibited.
