Canada is about to roll out the welcome mat to the first groups of Syrian refugees, who could arrive as early as tomorrow in Montreal and Toronto.
Temporary processing centres have been set up at Trudeau and Pearson airports to handle the 10,000 expected to arrive within the next few weeks.
By the time refugees leave the airports three hours later, they will have received permanent residency, a social insurance number, winter clothes and information on working in Canada,
They'll then be taken to their sponsor families, or to temporary housing provided by the government.
