A weekend of holiday RIDE checks across Niagara.
Over 500 vehicles were stopped last night, during a RIDE checkpoint in the town of Fort Erie.
Police say seven drivers were given roadside breathalyzer tests and one driver had his licensed suspended for three days.
Police also stopped one driver who did not have her headlights on, and found she had been disqualified from driving because of a previous drunk driving conviction.
She was charged and had her car impounded for 45 days.
On Saturday, police stopped more than 300 vehicles in Niagara Falls and Thorold, charging one driver with impaired and another two with drug possession.
