The owners of a Niagara Falls motel are expressing their frustration with local police after an assault was caught on camera.

The video shows a man being punched and knocked out cold on the property of the Carriage House Motor Lodge on Lundy's Lane.

Amanda Johnson, who is the property manger shared a video on Facebook Tuesday night and it has been viewed over 50-thousand times.

She joined CKTB's Lee Sterry saying she is not happy with how the NRP have responded to incidents at the motel.

She says 30 percent of NRP officers care and investigate incidents properly, but the other 70 percent don't care.

Johnson believes that some officers don't care because the motel  is a place with many low-income families.

She is worried that if police don't start taking action, things could get worse.

The NRP say they are investigating the assault and they are looking for witnesses.

Johnson says the only reason police issued the released is because the video has received so much attention.

She says she doesn't hate police, she just wants help protecting her business.

Niagara Regional Police have released the following:

During the early evening of Tuesday July 14th, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service were called to a disturbance at the Carriage House Motel, located at 8004 Lundy's Lane in the City of Niagara Falls. The incident is currently being investigated by members of the Niagara Falls Detective Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Matt Hodges at 905-688-4111 extension 2241.

Niagara Falls Ontario! I want this to go viral. Please make it known my argument is not whether these individuals were charged it's with the way the police had no care or desire to investigate just because it's a motel and they apparently come here too often. Why does it matter where the incident happens? Are they not supposed to serve and protect everywhere even the small places. This officer was out of line and is a disgrace to the officers who actually do their job.
